Hysterectomy + Opportunistic Salpingectomy

A study of more than 80,000 women found an 80% lower risk of serous ovarian cancer (hazard ratio of 0.22) among those who had an opportunistic bilateral salpingectomy (i.e., removal of both fallopian tubes) when they were having a hysterectomy.
