Breaking News: The FDA recently approved a blood test for colorectal cancer screening!
🔍 What does this mean?
- A positive screen is helpful to get a colonoscopy done quickly in case there is a cancer.
- But a negative screen is NOT helpful, as it would still be advised to have a colonoscopy
⭐ Bottom Line:
- Positive Screen: May lead to an earlier cancer diagnosis.
- Negative Screen: NOT helpful, and colonoscopy would still be advised.
