

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) just released updated Genetic/Familial High-Risk Assessment: Colorectal, Endometrial, Gastric Cancer guidelines on June 13th, 2025 (Version 1.2025). Included in these new guidelines are updates to the TP53 content as follows:
- Colon cancer absolute risk: 5-20% (changed from >20%)
- Colonoscopy and upper endoscopy every 2-5 years started age 20-25 (changed from age 25) or 5 years before earliest colorectal cancer in the family
- For individuals with whole body or abdominal radiation treatment <age 20, colonoscopy recommended 5 years after treatment
