Risk-reducing mastectomy and breast cancer mortality in women with BRCA1/BRCA2

A recent study, which included ICARE participants, suggests the life-saving potential of preventive mastectomy for BRCA1 and BRCA2 carriers. 💪 This procedure significantly reduces the risk of developing breast cancer and may even decrease the risk of breast cancer-related mortality.
