

Did you know breast cancer surpassed lung cancer as the leading cause of cancer death among Black women in the United States? Although Black women are at a lower risk for developing breast cancer, they are 41% more likely to die of breast cancer compared with White women.
Future research is needed to reverse course, through strategies such as:
• increasing diversity in clinical trials
• provider education
• incentivizing health systems to provide equitable care
