The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) released updated Genetic/Familial High-Risk Assessment: Breast, Ovarian, and Pancreatic Cancer guidelines on September 11th, 2024.
Some BRCA1 updates as outlined in GENE-A (Page 36) include ⤸
- Reduced penetrance BRCA1 R1699Q variant (24% breast cancer risk by age 70)
- Screening should be individualized based on personal and family history
